what is MPR - The DDR3 MPR is a multi-purpose register in the DRAM that contains one bit wide data that is read out on a prime DQ defined by the DRAM vendor datasheet. There are two locations in the MPR that are predefined. One location allows the readout of a predefined data burst (such as 01010101). The other location is used to output the refresh trip points from the on-die thermal sensor.
